Valley Wireless - Notice history

We are currently investigating this incident. It's probably related to the power outage currently affecting Ohariu. Homes using this connection will be moved to our Primary when power returns but Public IPs will not work until this issue is fixed.

We are monitoring this, seems to be a national issue with our upstream provider tonight.

Monitoring an outage for most of Ohariu and Takarua, most likely wind related. Valley Wireless is operational for those houses with battery backup systems.

Power is out for most of Ohariu - Cause is yet to be found according to Wellington Electricity. Valley Wireless internet service not affected if you have Solar or battery backup, however you will not have access to internet if you rely on the main grid. Will monitor and advise when we have more details. Free wifi and device charging available at Ohariu Hall.

Power will be down today from 9am-4:30pm according to Wellington Electricity. This will not affect Valley Wireless if you have a UPS / Solar power setup, you will continue to receive internet from our offgrid towers. All customers who are on the main power supply will lose our internet service unless you have a backup solution in place. There will be free wifi and device charging available at the Ohariu Hall if anyone is in need of this for emergency purposes.
